Acrobat Reader
Get Acrobat Reader
Download your free copy of Acrobat reader, which enables you to view and print these PDF (Portable Document Format) files.  This is the preferred format for transmitting and reading most documents on the internet!

To download Acrobat Reader, click on the "Get Acrobat Reader" icon, above. When the page loads, click on "Get Acrobat Reader free!" at the bottom of the chart. Complete steps 1, 2, and 3 (clicking "Download"). You will see a window with a message saying you are downloading Acrobat Reader. When the File Download window pops up, please note the two options.  Select one and click "OK."

1. You can "Run this program from its current location." This means that it will automatically install if you have clicked on the first radio button. Unless you are very computer literate, I recommend using this option.

2. Or you can "Save this program to disk." This option does NOT install the program automatically. You will be asked to select a directory to save the file to, and later you will have to go to that directory and file and execute it by double clicking on it in order to install it.

As soon as the program is installed on your computer, the computer will always recognize PDF files and will open them for you automatically.

Note:  This is a relatively large download (5.6 MB), so I'd recommend downloading it during a slow time on your server.  It could take as long as 30 minutes or more on slow connections or a couple of minutes with DSL.
